Caecilian

CAECILIAN, common name for wormlike amphibians that make up the order
Gymnophiona. They are found in the warmer regions of the world, usually in
underground burrows, but sometimes swimming in water. Caecilians, ranging from
about 10 to 150 cm (about 4 to 60 in) long, are limbless and blind, with smooth skin
folded in rings and tiny covered eyes; tentacles between the eyes and nostrils act
                        as sensory organs.
